  • Ortega’s in Danbury, CT has been serving up some great dishes and everyone will tell you that this is the place to go to in the area for some great tasting food that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. This is the type of place where the owner will come over to talk to you and tell you all about the dish and charm you with some history if you’d like. You can tell he loves his job and this may be the reason why everyone tastes the love in every bite. The menu is large and offers a variety of American & Latin dishes. The Churrasco is some of the best we’ve had in the area. Ortega’s offers a full bar, a dance floor and a pool table in case the food is not enough to keep you entertained! They are open late for drinks and trust us, this place is not one to miss out when in Danbury!

Never been here but the photos look enticing. I love roasted chicken with rice and a salad. It’s typical Spanish comfort food. Hard to find a place that cooks home style food and puts the needed flavor into it. There is a Dominican deli off exit 6 that is sort of the same type of food but much more run down and with a different crowd. More take out than eat in. Danbury needs a good Spanish place to eat at. Most places are trashy I’m sorry to say. I’ll check it out and drop a comment. Follow me back on Instagram please. I share all your photos! Instagram.com/laurenfisher

Lol. The Dominican place that you’re talking about is horrible. They don’t charge much but the whole plate is basically all rice. Worst parking you will ever see during lunch. The line is practically nonexistent and people ravage the food display like hyenas. I’ll pass. I’ll tell you what’s good in Danbury for Spanish food…Ortega’s, Banana Brazil, Ranchero and Empire of the Incas for a good Peruvian Ceviche or Lomo. The aji green sauce needs less mustard and that’s really it for Danbury.

My bf brings home the tamales and roasted chicken all the time. Really good food. Never ate there just take out but the menu is extensive with lots to choose from. Not what you see on the website. It’s a bit outdated.

Really good Latin food and for the price you really cant beat it. Awesome tamales. Same as my abuelita used to make them. The pollo asado with arroz and ensalada is great for $8 bucks.

Great food. The best prices in Danbury for what you get. The tacos are excellent and the pupusas are so good. The pork fat chicharron is enough to kill you on the spot, but well fed and happy to go out like a champ. Lol love this place. The Roasted Chicken is probably the most popular thing to eat besides the tacos. Really good food for the price. You really can’t go wrong. Better than the Dominican places that serve buffet style flavorless items and overload the plate with rice instead of food. Here you’ll eat for $6-8 dollars and feel good about what you ate.

Best Latin food in Danbury. Best prices and the best roasted chicken with rice and salad I’ve had. The lengua tacos are amazing but not for beginners. Very affordable and you really do get a lot. For $8 you get a whole meal and home cooked. Not too many places that I can think of that actually serve this type of food in the area. Very clean, nice staff and great food. I
