Gabriele’s Italian Steakhouse fills the void in the Fairfield County dining scene with the quintessential steakhouse. It brings together America’s two favorite cuisines under one location. Located a stone’s throw from Greenwich Avenue, Gabriele’s is fine dining at its best.
The menu, is a contemporary take on classic Italian and steakhouse fare – only better. The steaks are hand selected, prime beef, both wet and dry aged, seasoned with sea salt, crushed peppercorns and prepared with a custom built, high heat broiler which sears each cut to perfection.
Gabriele’s décor is as robust as its food. Owner Danny Gabriele, working with the talents of Haverson Design, has transformed the Church Street restaurant into a sleek, club’esque dining, bar and event space. The brick country club façade gives way to a stately dining room framed by dark wood floors, Venetian plaster walls, and coffer ceiling. Various alcove seating and fireside tables add depth and warmth to the space.
The bar is an experience in and of itself. The great, wood-burning, stone fireplace looks out over a large moss green, unpolished granite bar complete with high back leather bar stools and high-top tables throughout the room. Top shelf spirits provide a vibrantly lit backdrop to the social scene that ensues. Private dining can be accommodated in the wine room, which is lined with over 2000 plus bottles of global varietals, styles, and vintages accompanied by an onyx dining table that illuminates the intimate room.

Great reputation but Greenwich ave is killing it right now. If you aren’t on the ave, you aren’t on the map in Greenwich at least.
If you haven’t been here, just stop by to see the entrance and upstairs. It is unbelievably beautiful. Decadent place with decadent food.

Very good food. Definitely upscale so don’t expect to not pay for great food. The entrance around the back lets you know you’ve made it to the right place. We absolutely love Gabriele’s.
Pricey but some of the best dining in CT. Exquisite entrance and decor. This is fancy but nothing short of amazing if you love good food and wine.
Beautiful entrance, ambiance, crowd, service! It was outstanding! Without a doubt our new favorite steakhouse! The Porterhouse was phenomenal, just don’t try this one alone! (good for two)

Thousand times better than Peter Luger’s in NYC. I am a steak aficionado and have traveled the world looking for great steaks. The only place that is better than Gabriele’s is Argentina! Seriously out of this world steak!!!!
Probably the best steak house in CT! Seriously, if you haven’t been here you are really missing out! I’ve been to many steakhouses in NYC and this one takes them all! Really extraordinary food. Love this place!!!!
