This was my very first time there and I was very impressed. Laid back and really good bbq. Happy I found it and will definitely be back.

    4. Renee The Cookhouse

Amazing food and you always leave satisfies. Great barbecue ribs, chicken, amazing sides and the kids always love it. Highly recommend for the family. 5 stars.

    5. Bob The Cookhouse

Really good spot for bbq and an all around good place to take the family. Kids love it and everyone leaves happy. It’s the best place for bbq in the area without a doubt. Authentic and worth the drive if you aren’t close by. Laughing at some of the Fat Tommy comments. I’ve never seen a Fat Tommy, all I see are my ribs and chicken on my plate.

Lol you’re in the wrong place buddy…my whole street smells like one big bbq. I feel sorry for you. The cookhouse is definitely my favorite bbq. Worth the trip to New Milford or you can just drive up to Danbury and ill throw ya a few ribs and some bbq chicken. Lol. Happy Memorial Day! Cheer up!

Just saw the ad on Facebook. Looks really good and I see some nice reviews so that’ll be my next brisket and cornbread stop this summer 😉

    10. Josh The Cookhouse

I’ve read many great reviews but never had the chance to go. I plan on going to a flea market next sunday in new milford and will have to check them out. Looking forward to some good ribs and cornbread.

I used to go to Uncle Willie’s in Waterbury before they closed and that was definitely my favorite bbq until my coworker took me and our manager here. Really amazing down south home style cooking and great service. Really good bbq.

Has anyone really seen Fat Tommy? The hype behind Fat Tommy is almost as good as the experience. Haha I just want to know though. Anyone???

    13. Lucas 203 The Cookhouse

Only bbq that’s better is my uncle Charles from Texas and he’s even visited Connecticut and got to try the cookhouse. For him to admit it’s as good as the best Texas bbq means its the best we’ve got here in Ct.

    14. Jim The Cookhouse

Oh wow I remember smokey joes. The cookhouse is much better. They’ve been rated as one of the top bbq places for at least 10 yrs in a row. Really good southern bbq.

    15. Matt The Cookhouse

Never heard of these guys. I used to go to smokey joes in stamford back when it was a real bbq joint. After they changed their name and vibe I was no longer a fan. The cookhouse looks nice, gonna have to take make the trip.

    16. Chris The Cookhouse

Lmao. Fat Tommy doesn’t exist in my opinion. It’s a myth like the Easter Bunny! Only thing that’s real is the ribs baby! One of my favorite places for bbq. Haven’t had better yet in CT.

    17. Ryan The Cookhouse

About time! Without question this is the best BBQ you will experience here in the North East. I have tried just about every BBQ joint there is and no one does it better. Fat Tommy is like Santa Claus…He left a gift for all of us (in the form of delicious slow cooked BBQ) but we’ve never seen him. At least I haven’t! LOL. Don’t miss out on this one if you love real BBQ! One in a million.
