The first Big Sky opened in Newington, CT in 2001. It was started by a small team of people with a vision to use fitness as a way to change people’s lives. They set out to create a new type of gym — where no judgments would ever be made on how anyone looked. A club different from the boring, impersonal gyms that many people had been experiencing for years. Big Sky would be a place where you could always feel welcome. A place where you could just be yourself. Since then, Big Sky’s become more than just “a gym”, and it’s about a lot
more than just working out.
It’s grown into a caring community of many, many like-minded neighbors. Good people from different walks of life, sharing the common desire to live healthier – – for ourselves and for the people we love. Big Sky is warm and inviting. This is a place where encouragement flows, goals are met and exceeded, and friendships flourish. You can feel the level of support and camaraderie – – as soon as you walk
through the doors. Big Sky will continue to evolve. It will always be different from other gyms, and it will always stay true to its’ beginnings . . . its‘ purpose (to change lives), and its’ beliefs . . . its’ Credo:
