Owners Larry and his wife Nia Chen hail from NYC where the first Lotus restaurant was started by Larry’s father in 1965. Lotus Eaters 5th which was located at 23rd street and 5th Avenue, was a progressive upscale Asian eatery that had a full bar and featured Szechaun and Cantonese cuisine.
The Red Lotus today, has served the Shelton community for the past 12 years with love, kindness and service. Our restaurant is the true definition of Asian Fusion, showcasing everything from a very discerning Japanese Omakase sushi to renowned Asian masterpieces.
The brand new sister restaurant to The Red Lotus, “The Little Lotus,” is slated to open Spring 2025 in the historic waterfront area of City Point in New Haven, CT.
